New to Think Big in 2009 is the superbly bred entire Prince Arthur, a stakes-winning son of champion sire of sires Danehill (USA) from the Palace Music (USA) mare Scribbling, a daughter of celebrated producer Princess Tracy (IRE).

Prince Arthur will be one of the last sons of Danehill to go to stud, his sire dynasty having spawned a who’s who of the best stallions in the land including Redoute’s Choice, Flying Spur, Commands, Danehill Dancer (IRE), Danewin, Choisir, Danzero and Exceed and Excel.

A half-brother to Group Two winner Prince of War, Prince Arthur is also a three-quarter brother-in-blood to Group One winner and proven Group One producing sire Danasinga, who has been in the spotlight this season as the sire of Randwick and Rosehill Guineas hero Metal Bender.

Well proven at stud in New Zealand and now based in the Hunter Valley, Danasinga is the sire some 28 stakes-winners with Metal Bender one of his 16 Group winners.

A remarkable matriarch, Princess Tracy left five stakes-winners, three of them notable sires in Danasinga, Towkay and Cullen, while her champion multiple Group One winning daughter Tracy’s Element is the dam of this season’s unbeaten sensation Typhoon Tracy, winner of five straight races highlighted by a devastating victory in the Group One STC Coolmore Classic.

This is a family that has proven successful both on the track and in the sale ring, justifying its worth at the highest level time and again.

Poised to add further lustre to this most sought after family is Group Two STC Silver Slipper winner Shaft, who covered 138 mares in his debut season for Darley last year and stakes-winning sprinter Red Element, set to retire to Glenlogan Park Stud in Queensland.
